Brundidge opens summer reading

The Tupper Lightfoot Memorial Library in Brundidge is registering children for the 2020 Summer Reading Program through May 25.

“Tupper” is encouraging children ages 3-17 to “Imagine Your Story” by participating in the summer program that has been designed for in-home participation.

Garneshia Lampley, children’s librarian, said the “Imagine Your Story” Summer Reading Program will begin on Friday, May 29.”

“On that day, those registered for Tupper’s Summer Reading Program can pick up their kits between the hours of 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.” Lampley said. “Each kit will contain a to-go kit that includes a craft, a scavenger hunt, puzzle and a sack.”

The kits will also be available for pick up the following three Fridays during the same hours.

Participants in Tupper’s Summer Reading Program are also encouraged to register for online Bean Stack for participation in the summer reading program. Reading logs will be registered on the website.

At the end of the summer reading program, the top readers will be recognized.
