David Morris Peacock, age 72, a resident of Troy, died Thursday, May 7, 2020 at Troy Regional Medical Center. Due to COVID-19 restrictions a private family graveside will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2020 at Murphy’s Chapel Cemetery with Dillard Funeral Home of Troy Directing.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Morris Merle Peacock and Bernice Faulkner Little; 2 brothers: Larry Ray and Rufus Michael Peacock, and a step-son: Paul Little.
He is survived by his wife: Margaret Holley Peacock; two children: Tony Peacock (Lacey), Patricia Childs; two step-sons: Jerry Little, Chad Little; three grandsons: Abe Childs, Ace Childs, Bryar Peacock; one granddaughter: Ali Childs; two step-granddaughters: Sondra Dubose (Jake), Holly Kate Dubose; one great granddaughter: Serenity Childs; two step great grandsons: Braxton Jordan, Mason Dubose; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to the Murphy’s Chapel Cemetery Fund.
Mr. Peacock was a farmer, welder, logger, and champion dancer.
