Our beloved mother, Sissy Yancey died of brain cancer 5/01/2020 at her home in Pine Level, AL.

Sissy was predeceased by her parents, her daughter Gina, her sisters, June Sullivan and Irma Stringfellow.  She is survived by her daughter Mimi Sims of Pine Level, AL and her son Mike(Sherye)Sims, her grandchildren Lauren Pobletts and Jon Sims, her great granddaughters Ava and Taylor Bailey all of Hampstead, MD.  She is survived by her 3 stepbrothers;  Wilburn (Mary Sue) Senn of Brundidge, AL., Paul (Liz) Senn of Montgomery, AL and Jackie Senn of Breaux Bridge, LA.  She is survived by her nieces and nephews which she always deemed so special.

Due to COVID-19 a private immediate family only graveside funeral will be conducted by Dillard Funeral Home.   A memorial service will be schedule for remaining friends and family once the health situation is cleared.

The family wishes to acknowledge the superb care given to Sissy by Comfort Care Hospice, especially Kelli Pollard and Elizabeth Smith.  We thank our beloved neighbor, Carolyn Missildine and our beloved cousin, Sandy Gaddie for their undying devotion and help.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Comfort Care Hospice, 315 Saint Lukes Drive, Montgomery, AL  36117 or Compassus Hospice, 1340 US HWY 231 Suite 7, Troy, AL  36081.
