Man arrested on charges of bank robbery
Local authorities assisted U.S. Marshals and the FBI on Tuesday in arresting a man on multiple bank robbery charges.
Lt. Troy Johnson of the Pike County Sheriff’s Office said Hunter Lee McPherson was wanted by Lowndes County authorities on two armed robbery charges.
“Marshals developed McPherson as a suspect and tracked him to Troy with the assistance of our deputies and the Troy Police Department,” Johnson said.
Johnson said McPherson is a Butler native, but was in Troy at the residence of his girlfriend when authorities made the arrest on McPherson Drive on Tuesday.
McPherson was taken into custody without incident.
