Members of the Troy Rotary Satellite Club satellite club visited Noble Manor Friday to spread a little love on Valentine’s Day.’
Maria Frigge, club president, said the newly organized satellite club chose Valentine’s Day to begin reaching out to the Troy community.
“Our mission is to give back to the community and how better to give back in a small way than to give to those who have given so much.”
The club members delivered Valentine cards and a variety of sweet treats to the residents of Nobel Manor and entertained them with a “rose” parade.
Frigge said the Rotary satellite club is anxious to become more involved in the community and with different aspects of the community.
“We are looking for opportunities and today was a wonderful way to be involved,” she said. “We had a great time and hope the residents of Noble Manor enjoyed our visit as much as we did.”
Stephanie Gurba said visiting with the residents was a lot of fun and often educational.
“I love to hear the residents’ personal stories,” Gurba said. “You really can learn so much by listening to their perspective on life. It made my heart happy to be have been able to visit with the residents of Noble Manor on Valentine’s Day.”
