Damaging winds of up to 60 miles per hour and spin-up tornadoes are possible in  Pike County tonight.

“We expect the rain to begin early,” said EMA Director Herb Reeves. “We already have a flash flood watch in effect.”

Reeves said about 3 inches of rainfall is expected with the storm system.

The severe weather threat in anticipated locally in the timeframe of 7 p.m. Wednesday to 9 a.m. Thursday.

Troy is at a slight risk of tornadoes and damaging winds, but Reeves said it is important for residents to remain weather-aware.

A storm system on January 11 brought down trees and power lines in Troy including damage to a structure.
