Gloria Carmelita Ratcliff Robbins, aged 89, of San Antonio, Texas, passed from this life and entered into glory on Sunday, January 12, 2020, in a local nursing facility.

Gloria was born on January 4, 1931 in Fairfax, Alabama. She graduated from Henry G Cliff High School in Opelika, Alabama before attending and graduating from business school.

In her younger years, she won typing contests, and several ping pong tournaments in the East Alabama area.

She was gifted with musical talent which included playing the piano and singing. She began singing publicly at the age of four. Her gift of singing stayed with her throughout her life as she sang at many weddings, funerals,  with church choirs and other events throughout Alabama.

Gloria worked a number of years as a secretary  before going into the insurance business. She also dabbled in real estate on the side. She had faithfully served on several different church boards and committees throughout her life. She loved reading, fishing, traveling, and spending time with family.

Gloria is survived by a loving sister, Mary Ratcliff Pfrimmer, of Birmingham, Alabama, children Teresa Robbins Glover (Bobby) of Troy, Alabama, Stephen Aubrey Robbins, Sr. (Claudia), of San Antonio, Texas, and Rev. Mary Kathryn Robbins, of Woodsboro, Texas. She had five grandsons, Adam Robbins Glover (Kathlene), Levi Taylor Haag (Julie), William Conrad Haag, Russell Allan Haag, Stephen Aubrey Robbins Jr.,  one grand-daughter, Leslie Danielle Glover (Clint), and two great-grand-daughters Leah Haag, and Rileigh Glover.

She was preceded in death by a daughter Little baby Robbins, her loving parents Stephen Edgar and Marguerite Druary Ratcliff, her husband of 40 years Wynard Taylor Robbins, her brothers-in-law William Earnest Robbins and John Gray Pfrimmer Sr.

Visitation will be on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at Williams Memorial Chapel in Brewton, Alabama at 1:00 PM. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 PM and the burial will follow at Union Cemetery in Brewton, Alabama.  The Rev. Dr. Dick Druary of Houston, Texas will officiate.
