Joseph Raymond “Bo Bo” Capps, Jr., age 46, a resident of Millbrook, died Sunday, January 5, 2020 at Jackson Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 9, 2020 at 11 am from the Chapel of Dillard Funeral Home in Troy with the Rev. Donnie Dunn officiating. Interment will follow in Sandfield Cemetery with Dillard Funeral Home of Troy directing. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 9, 2020 from 10 am until 11 am at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy.

He is survived by his wife: Angela Garrette Capps; daughter: Gabbi Capps; mother: Darlene Stephens; stepfather: Joe E. Stephens; sister: Delany Brooks (Lindsey); grandmother: Jessie Pittman; mother and father-in-law: Joe and Virginia Garrette; step children: Kalyn Davies (Dylan), Ridge Wilson; step grandchild: Rhett Davies; Aunts atnd Uncles: Barney and Diane Capps, Debbie Capps, Joann Capps, Sarah Fox, Sue Wittrock, Larry and Sharon Capps, Kenneth and Dianne Capps, and Mavis Pittman.

He is preceded in death by his grandfather: Junior Pittman; uncles: Derry Pittman, Elbert Capps, Bobby Capps, and Donald Capps.

Serving as pallbearers will be Josh Pittman, Michael Abernathy, Lindsey Brooks, Doug Johnson, and James Capps.

Mr. Capps always claimed his biggest accomplishment to be raising his daughter. He was the son of a Baptist preacher, and a member of Southside Baptist Church in Troy. Throughout High school and college he worked with Garretts IGA. He later went on to graduate from Troy University with a degree in Criminal Justice, which led to his career in Law Enforcement.
