The Tupper Lightfoot Memorial Library invites its patrons and friends to warm up with a good book and participate in Tupper’s 2020 Adult Reading Contest.
An added perk of entry is the chance to win a $50 cash prize, gift baskets, books and more, said Theresa Trawick, library director.
“Entry in the 2020 Adult Reading Contest is simple,” Trawick said. “Check out and read one adult non-fiction and four adult fiction books from Tupper between now and March 19. Then, fill out the entry form and be entered in a drawing for the prizes.”
The more books read and the more forms completed the greater one’s chances of winning one of the prizes offered.
To be eligible to enter Tupper’s Adult Reading Contest, one must be 18 years of age or old and a Tupper Lightfoot Memorial Library cardholder.
Library board members, city employees and their immediate family members are not eligible to win.
Another upcoming event is Tupper’s Silent Book Club which will meet from 6 until 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 7, and all readers or those who would like to be are invited.
“I will assure you that you will enjoy the Silent Book Club,” Trawick said. “We’ll have chicken salad, biscuits, cookies and hot tea together and talk about the books we are reading or would like to read. If time permits, we’ll read a few minutes.”
