All funds raised by local businesses and neighborhood teams throughout the year go to benefit the American heart Association. The Heart Walk is a celebration of that fundraising and of healthy living.

Local health providers including dentistry, optometry, and general medical are being recruited now to have booths at the event, as well as other interactive and educational health booths.

T-shirts are currently being designed to raise more funds for the association and should be available in January, Davis said.
