The City of Brundidge ushered in the Christmas season Tuesday night with its annual Christmas Parade. The city is steeped in Christmas tradition. The city’s string Christmas lights have been a mainstay for more than 60 years.

This year, the string lights featured something old and something new. Some of the strings have new lights, bells and garland bringing even more Christmas cheer to the downtown area. Santa Claus arrived in the city’s fire truck to the excitement of all the good little boys and girls who awaited him. Santa took time to hear their Christmas wishes.

The large gathering of townspeople was entertained by children’s choirs and the lighting of the town’s Christmas Tree.
