Probate office sets town hall for Tuesday

The Pike County Probate Office will host a town hall meeting Tuesday at the Pike County Courthouse to answer citizens’ questions about all work related to the office.

“We just want to open it up for people to come find out about the probate court and ask any questions that they might have,” said Probate Judge Michael Bunn. “This will allow people to ask questions they might not otherwise have a forum to ask. The topics can span anything our probate office does, from licensing to elections to court.”

Bunn said a town hall was part of what he campaigned on in 2018 and he wanted to follow through in providing a forum for the community to bring questions and get answers.

Bunn will also be giving an update on the status of the office during the town hall.

“We’re going to give some information about what we’ve done this year, what we’ve accomplished so far and what we’re looking at for next year,” Bunn said.

The town hall will be open to all Pike County citizens. The forum will be held in the main courtroom at the Pike County Courthouse from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 19.
