‘Experience Brundidge’ this week with arts, entertainment events

Experience Brundidge this week as the City of Brundidge hosts Cultural Arts Week.
The week’s activities get underway with “Choirs on Parade” at 6 p.m. Sunday at the Pike County High School Cultural Arts Building.
Dr. Toni Wilson, event organizer, said a sold-out paint class and art exhibit is schedule for Monday.
“On Tuesday, there will be a storytelling performance by a teller from the National Association of Black Storytellers,” Wilson said. “The storytelling will be at 6 p.m. at the PCHS Cultural Arts Building.”
On Wednesday, a Music Block Party will be the featured event on the ground of the historic Bass House beginning at 7 p.m.
Thursday’s event will be “School Days: Steppin’ and Band” performance also at 6 p.m. at the Bass House.
On Friday night, a dance group from Troy University will perform at the PCHS Cultural Arts Building at 6 p.m.
The weeklong activities will continue with a poetry workshop from 10 a.m. until noon on Saturday at Galloway Park. The Cultural Arts Week will conclude with a Poetry Performance at 6 p.m. Saturday at the Cultural Arts Building.
