The City of Troy is kicking off the fall celebrations early this year with the inaugural Oktoberfest downtown.

“The event has something for literally everyone,” said Leigh Anne Windham, event coordinator.

The Square will be transformed into a fall festival with three different bands playing throughout the afternoon and evening, a professional face painter on site, a balloon artist, a cornhole tournament, oversized games for children and adults, 2 Brothers ice cream, cotton candy and a television to keep up with all the college football games.

The festival begins at 2 p.m. and closes at 9 p.m.

Many downtown restaurants and shops will be offering specials during the event as well.
