Four people were injured Monday afternoon i a three-vehicle collision on U.S. Highway 231.

The collision occurred at approximately 4 p.m. Monday near the traffic light intersection at the Walmart entrance.

All four passengers of the three vehicles were transported to Troy Regional Medical Center by ground transport.

Troy Police Chief Randall Barr said the injuries did not appear to be life-threatening.

The wreck slowed traffic on the highway’s southbound lane for nearly an hour while responders worked to remove the vehicles, which all received significant damage, Barr said.

The crash is still under investigation.
