Troy University student struck while crossing John M. Long Avenue

A Troy student was struck by a vehicle Thursday night while crossing the street at John M. Long Avenue.

Troy University spokesperson Clif Lusk said the student was transported to Troy Regional Medical Center and released Thursday night.

The 19-year-old driver of the vehicle that struck the unidentified student remained on the scene as medical personnel and officers arrived, and cooperated with police. No charges have been filed at this time.
