Premier Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram has announced its newest fundraiser, seeking to raise $100,000 for the Pike Medical Foundation in the next quarter.

“It’s a lofty goal, but one we hope we can make a reality,” said Jason Gregory, dealership owner. “We’ve listened to the vision of (Troy Regional Medical Center CEO) Ronnie Dean and we wanted to make a big splash for them.”

The dealership raised more than $70,000 for local elementary schools in the first quarter of 2019, split between five schools.

The dealership will raise funds in the same way this quarter, donating $200 for each car sold over the span of three months. The dealership is also planning a 5K run, a band party and other events to reach the $100,000 goal.

Gregory said healthcare was a logical sector to support in addition to education.

“We moved here with small children and brought a business here, our roots are here,” Gregory said. “My wife’s family has a long history in education and our children are in the schools, so we wanted to show our support for local education, providing for better tools.

“Last October, we donated $200 per vehicle sold for breast cancer awareness month; cancer is something that touches every family in one way or another. So we wanted to continue that but do it bigger. This was perfect timing for us and the hospital. Troy is a small town, but its our town. We want to make sure we have the best resources available to us. This is where we want to go to the doctor; it’s where we want to take our kids to the doctor.”
