Nothing short of Elvis would generate as much excitement as the upcoming appearance of Kirk Jay at Female Factor on August 14 at the Family Life Center at Park Memorial United Methodist Church.

Kirk Jay, a Montgomery resident, appeared on Season 15 of NBC’s “The Voice” where he finished third.

The Bay Minette native grew up in poverty. The mobile home he shared with family was far removed from the bright lights of the national television stage.

Karen Herring, Female Factor committee chair, said excitement is building in anticipation of appearance of “The Voice” star coming to Troy.

The Female Factor board met Thursday to make plans for Kirk Jay’s appearance at the ladies-only event which has been moved from The Studio to Park Memorial UMC to accommodate the anticipated larger crowd.

Kirk Jay will be the featured guest as Female Factor celebrates its August 14^th birthday. And, what a way to celebrate, the board members agreed.

He will be available before and after the noon concert for photos and autographs.

Even though the August meeting of Female Factor is being moved to larger facility, seating will be limited and reservations are required.

And, this meeting is only for females ages 18 and over and reservations are absolutely required. To make reservations call Karen Herring at 670-5478.

Admission to the Kirk Jay noontime concert will be an item or items for the Female Factor School Supply Drive. The supplies collected will be distributed to all schools throughout Pike County.
