Troy man charged with Walmart theft
A Troy man has been arrested in connection with the theft of more than $900 worth of items from the Troy Walmart.
Troy police arrested Timothy Terrell McClure, 38, Thursday on four existing misdemeanor warrants in addition to a felony charge of third-degree theft of property.
“Video surveillance shows McClure pushing a cart full of items ranging from CDs to security cameras out of the store to a vehicle waiting in the parking lot,” said Troy Police Chief Randall Barr. “McClure then loaded the items into the vehicle and left the store.”
McClure was booked into the Pike County Jail on a $1,500 bond in relation to the felony. McClure signed his own bond at the city jail on the four misdemeanor warrants including a count of third-degree domestic violence, a count of disorderly conduct and tow counts of contempt of court.
McClure is also a suspect in a similar theft from the Wal-Mart in Greenville. A hold was placed on McClure for Greenville Police.
