Outdoor Movie Night at The Bass is set for 8:30 p.m. Saturday on the grounds of Brundidge City Hall located on South Main Street in downtown Brundidge. The featured movie will be “The Secret Life of Pets.” The family movie is free and everyone is invited.

Spentressia Fenn, the organizer of the outdoor movies in Brundidge, said “The Secret Life of Pets” is about how the life of a terrier named Max is turned upside down when his owner brings home a sloppy stray mongrel.

“It’s a family-friendly movie and we invite everyone to come early and enjoy more family fun before the movie starts,” Fenn said.

Fenn said her idea for the outdoor movies originated from her desire to do something for her hometown.

“I live and work in Birmingham but my heart is and will always be in Brundidge,” she said. “I wanted to do something that would bring enjoyment to people of all ages, especially kids.”

So, with the support of Cleve Girls Cleve Boys Birmingham, of which she is a member, Fenn purchased a huge blow-up screen and projector and did something meaningful and memorable for her hometown.

In June, the first movie, “Justice League” hit The Bass screen and was a great success with nearly 100 people of all ages as movie goers.
