Six Trojans tallied two hits in the contest led by Drew Frederic going 2-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI and a run scored. Dalton Sinquefield followed behind with a two-hit outing which included a two-run home run.

Troy scored seven of its 10 runs in innings four thru six, beginning with a sacrifice fly from Sadler Goodwin in the fourth and an RBI double from Frederic in the fifth.

The offense exploded in the sixth starting with Sinquefield hitting a two-run homer, his fourth home run of the season. Reed Smith tallied an RBI off a fielder’s choice that scored Austin Garofalo from third.

Following right behind, Rigsby Mosley hit a double to right center field that scored a run and moved Smith to third. Frederic capped off the five-run inning with a sacrifice fly to left field that pushed Smith across the plate.

Troy’s momentum carried into the seventh inning as Chase Smartt (6), Logan Cerny (9) and Garofalo (3) hit solo home runs to give the Trojans enough cushion to win the game.

The three home runs in an inning mark the first time accomplishing that feat since Troy hit three home runs in the seventh against Kennesaw State on April 22, 2015.
