Scott Sanders, 44, of Troy died Saturday, May 11, 2019, in Troy. Scott was an amazing husband, father and brother. He loved his family and his customers at Troy Bank and Trust. In lieu of flowers, memorials should be made to the Pike Medical Foundation C/O Troy Regional Medical Center, 1330 Highway 231 South, Troy, AL 36081.

A funeral service for Scott will be held Wednesday, May 15, 2019, at 4:00 p.m. from the chapel of Green Hills Funeral Home in Troy with Johnny Witherington officiating. A private family graveside will be held after the chapel service in Green Hills Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Scott’s survivors include his wife, Melissa Sanders of Troy; his son, Morgan Sanders of Troy; sister and brother-in-law, Meg and Dave Fiveash of Troy; brother and sister-in-law, Bruce and Beth Sanders of Helena; half brothers, Eddie (Marsha) Sanders of Wedowee, and Phil Sanders of Columbus, Georgia; half sister Dolores (Wayne) Sanders of Wedowee; nieces and nephews, Hannah Yancey Johnson (Andrew)  Aaron Yancey, Luke Sanders, Mary Beth Sanders, Nick Sanders, David Fiveash Jr. (Holly), Samantha Fiveash Davis; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bobby and Linda Jo Leverett. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Jean Sanders, and a brother -in-law, Andy Yancey.

Serving as pallbearers will be Bruce Sanders, Aaron Yancey, Dave Fiveash, Andrew Johnson, Terry Kersey and David Bradford.Honorary pallbearers will be his special friends at Troy Bank and Trust.
