Dothan psychiatrist serving in multiple practices in the Wiregrass, including at Troy Regional Medical Center, was the subject of a DEA raid Wednesday according to media reports.
Federal agents with a variety of departments executed a search warrant at “Wiregrass Wellness Center” Wednesday, a private practice of Dr. John Christopher Strunk in Dothan.
The National Plan and Provider Enumeration System shows Wiregrass Wellness Center as Strunk’s primary location, with other locations including Troy, Opp, Geneva, Donalsonville, Ga., and the Florida municipalities of Marianna and Bristol.
Strunk became the medical director for the Troy Regional Senior Behavioral Care Center in 2018.
Wiregrass Wellness Center was founded in 2007 according to the center’s website.
Strunk has not been charged or arrested at this time.
Officials with TRMC declined to comment Wednesday.
