Probate Judge Michael Bunn announced Tuesday that the Pike County Probate Office will open a satellite office in Banks beginning today.
The office, which will be located inside the Banks Town Hall, will be open the first Wednesday of every month. The hours of operation are from 9:00am until 3:00pm.
“When I was campaigning, people in Banks told me they would like a satellite office similar to the one that operates one day a month in Brundidge,” Bunn said. “Mayor Lisa Culpepper provided us with the space we needed and, with her help, we are happy to announce that we are ready to open the doors on the Banks office. This should make it easier for residents to do business with the Pike County Probate Office without having to drive to Troy.”
Mylia Singleton, a Banks resident who works for the Pike County Probate Office, will be on-site to assist residents with renewing vehicle and boat tags/registrations. Applications for handicap placards and tags will also be accepted at the satellite office.
Residents are encouraged to bring proof of insurance and a valid driver’s license with them between the hours of 9:00am and 3:00pm. Customers with a last name beginning with the letters F, G and N are due to have their tags renewed during the month of April.
The Pike County Probate Office also some services available online for residents who wish to business over the internet. Residents have the ability to renew their driver’s license or car tag online by logging onto PikeProbate.com.
