Glenda Anne Argenti

Glenda Anne Argenti, a resident of Troy, passed away at Jackson Hospital in Montgomery due to complications resulting from a heart attack and stroke. Glenda Anne was born in Chapmansboro, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gilbert and Pauline Allen; sisters, Joy and Hope; and brother, Jimmy.

Glenda taught school in Knox County, Tennessee, and Troy City and Ozark City School Systems, as well as Pike Liberal Arts School.

Glenda Anne was a devoted teacher, wife, and mother. She leaves her husband, Rudy; daughter, Elizabeth (Argenti) Long and husband Steve Long of Atlanta; and grandchildren, Grace, Will, and Caroline Long. She also leaves her son, Allen Argenti and wife Kelley of Auburn and their children, Caroline and Joseph. Glenda Anne was loved by all. She attended St. Martin of Tours Church with her family and was a lifelong Methodist.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2019, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy. Services will follow in the chapel at 11 a.m. with Father Den Irwin officiating. Interment will follow in Green Hills Memorial Park with Dillard Funeral Home of Troy directing.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to your charity of choice, or to The American Heart Association.
