Laura Ann Hein

Laura Ann Wadowick Hein, daughter of Jim and Mary Wadowick, was born Sept.7, 1960, in Cleveland, Ohio. She passed away on Monday, Feb. 11. She had been hospitalized for a brain tumor and, after surgery, was in rehab when a blood clot ended her life. She was 58 years old. 

She  graduated from Troy University in 1981 with a degree in business. Laura performed in the Sound of the South band as a flutist.  She was also an accomplished pianist. She later was an avid singer and performed in many venues including the part of Lucy in “Charlie Brown,” solo parts in the Mozart Requiem, Handel’s Messiah, and many church productions in Montogomery and other cities where she lived with John  over the years. 

Laura and John Hein were married in 1981 at St. Martin’s Catholic Church and  were married for 38 years. They were stationed at various times in Boston, Wyoming, Los Angeles, San Antonio, Montgomery, and most recently in Bonnaire, Georgia.

At the time of her death she was the Court Administrator for the county of Byron, Georgia. Laura pursued many church ministries and was a devout servant of the Lord. She is survived by her husband John Hein, and her sons, Peter and wife Jenilee, and James. Her surviving  siblings are Mary WadowickAl-Ahkdar (Kerry, North Carolina), Kurt Wadowick (Pryor Lake, Minnesota), and Natalie Wadowick Berg (Naples, Florida),

Funeral services will be held at McCullough funeral Home in Warner Robbins, Georgia on Friday morning, Feb. 15.
