Winter reading contest underway at Brundidge library

The Tupper Lightfoot Memorial Library in Brundidge will once again, sponsor the “Winter Reading Contest  with t for Adults with the winner taking home a $50 cash prize.’

Theresa Trawick, library director, said the “Winter Reading Contest” will being on January 1 and conclude March 15.

‘The contest is open to ages 18 and older,” Trawick said. “The books may be paper or ebook  but from the Tupper Lightfoot Memorial Library only.”

To register for the Winter Reading Contest, contact Karis Nicholson at the library at 334-735-2145.

Trawick said the library’s Brown Bag program will be at noon on Thursday, January 17.

“We invite everyone to bring a lunch and enjoy the free program,” she said. “This month, Frank Green will talk about safety tips for the winter months and safety and uses of propane heaters

At noon on Saturday, January 26, “Tupper” will host Birthday Celebration Day in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday at Brundidge Station. “Birthday Celebration Day is for all ages,” Trawick said. “There will be activities for pre-school through adults , including a movie, reading, crafts and games. Everyone is invited to eat birthday cake and celebrate.”
