Loretta Elease Hagan Simmons, 72, passed away at her home on December 17, 2018. She was born June 26, 1946 in Frisco City, Alabama to Gaston and Violet Bailey Hagan. Ms. Simmons was a resident of Troy. Graveside services will be held Saturday, December 22, 2018, at 11:30 a.m. at Mt. Moriah Cemetery with the Reverend Ebb Hagan (nephew of Loretta) officiating.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 22, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. from the parlor of Dillard Funeral Home in Troy.

Ms. Simmons is preceded in death by her parents, Gaston and Violet Bailey Hagan; her brother, Larry Gaston Hagan; and her loving companion, John Raulerson.

She is survived by her daughters, Jenniffer Simmons Barner of Troy; and Cindy Simmons Garcia (Dr. Carlos) of Carol Gables, Florida; two brothers, Merrill Hagan (Ouida) and Jerry Hagan (Pat) of Lewes, Delaware; one sister, Gail Hagan Adams (Greg) of Dothan; four grandchildren, Gaston Javier Garcia, Carson Quiano Garcia, Gracelynn Elise Barner and Eli Hagan Barner; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Serving as pallbearers are Scott Sanders, nephew; Eric Hagan, nephew; Michael Hagan, nephew; David Hagan, nephew; Gaston Garcia, grandson; and Carson Garcia, grandson.

The Simmons family wishes to express deep gratitude to caregiver Hattie Glee, Dr. Rick Gill, Compassus Hospice, Jones Medical Center, and all friends and family who have loved and supported us during this time.
