Suspected driver of wrecked vehicle found

Authorities have found the man identified as the driver of a vehicle that flipped near Spring Hill Wednesday night, leaving another man injured.

Corp. Justin Vann of the State Troopers said the man fled from the scene and was found by family members later that night.

Vann said the family transported him to the medical center in Enterprise with non-life-threatening injuries.

The other man in the vehicle was airlifted to Baptist South in Montgomery with serious injuries.

The man was stable and talking at the scene of the crash and was able to identify the driver to law enforcement.

The names of the men have not been released and the case is still under investigation by the Alabama State Troopers.

The Pike County Sheriff’s Office and Troy Fire Department also assisted in searching for the driver Wednesday night.
