Burglary suspect arrested

Troy police have arrested a man in connection with the burglary of a home on Enzor Road Monday.
Police arrested Jacobe’ Charles Toney, 19, of Troy, Monday and charged him with third-degree burglary in connection to the crime.
Police responded to the scene of the burglary in the 2000 block of Enzor Road at approximately 11:21 a.m. Monday after the homeowner returned home to discover that someone had broken into his residence.
“The homeowner observed a black male wearing dark clothing in the wood line behind the residence and advised that the subject had electronic equipment in his possession that was taken from inside,” said Troy Police Chief Randall Barr.
Barr said investigators were able to identify Toney as a suspect in the case and arrested him at his residence off Alabama Highway 87 near Pike County Road 3304. The victim’s property was recovered.
Toney was booked into the Pike County Jail on a $2,500 bond.
Third-degree burglary is a Class C Felony punishable by 1 to 10 years in prison.
