Robbery suspect arrested

Police have arrested a third suspect in the armed robbery and burglary of a Troy residence in July.

Darrious Lemodis Davis, 26, of Union Springs, was arrested Tuesday on two outstanding warrants of first-degree robbery and first-degree burglary in connection with the incident. Both charges are Class A Felonies punishable by 20 years to life in prison.

Troy Police Chief Randall Barr said warrants were issued for Davis after he was identified in the robbery and burglary, which took place in the 200 block of John M. Long Drive in the early morning hours of July 13.

“Two men entered that residence armed with handguns,” Barr said. “Electronic items and the victim’s wallet were taken from ¬the residence. The victim was not injured.”

Davis was arrested in the 100 block of Senn Court without incident.

Jamarius Cachief Jones, 20, of Troy, was arrested on August 13 and Frank Miller Freeman III, 27, of Brundidge, was arrested on October 3. Both Jones and Freeman were also charged with first-degree robbery and first-degree burglary.
