Troy native Marsha Ann Cosby Cetti, 76, of Carrollton, Georgia, passed away peacefully in her sleep on July 7, 2018.
Like many of her family members, Marsha was a graduate of Troy (State) University, where she earned both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in education. She enjoyed a long and successful career as a high school English teacher.
Even more than the profound impact she had on scores of grateful students, her greatest legacies are her deep love for her family and friends, and her unshakable faith in Christ.
She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Arthur Yancey Cosby; her mother, Mildred McCalman Cosby Stewart; her infant brother, Michael Braxton Cosby; her grandmother, Mattie Powell McCalman; and her half-sister, Gwen Pitts. Marsha will be deeply missed her sister, Regina Cosby King; her five daughters and their spouses; twelve grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; numerous cousins, niece, nephews; and many members of her faith and educational families; and friends from around the world.
She will be laid to rest alongside her parents during a graveside service, which will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 3, at Oakwood Cemetery in Troy.
