Police find body believed to be missing woman

Police have found a body they believe to be that of 33-year-old Kathryn Louise Davis, who had been reported missing Wednesday night.
Troy Police Chief Randall Barr said the body was too badly decomposed to be immediately identified.
“At 9:21 am officers responded to a wooded area on Pike County Road 1128, where they discovered the body of an unknown female,” Barr said.
The body will be transported to the Alabama Department of Forensic Science for autopsy.
A family member reported Davis missing to the police department at approximately 7 p.m. Wednesday. She had last been seen on Kelly Road near U.S. Highway 231.
No other information is available at this time.
The Troy Police Department is being assisted in this investigation by The Pike County District Attorney’s Office, The Pike County Coroner’s Office and The Alabama Department of Forensic Science.
