A Banks home was destroyed Tuesday night when it went up in flames.
Banks Volunteer Fire Chief Jake Dubose said nobody was inside the home during the fire.
“The cause is under investigation at this time by our department and the Alabama State Fire Marshals,” Dubose said. “No further comment can be given while it is under investigation.”
The home is located on U.S. Highway 29. The fire was reported at approximately 9 p.m. Tuesday night and multiple departments assisted in dousing the flames.
An ATV and a zero-turn lawnmower were salvaged from the garage before the fire could reach them.
