Jeffrey Paul “Jeff” Watkins, 44, of Lakeland, Tennessee, died September 2, 2018, in Lakeland. Jeff was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Pruitt Watkins, and grandparents, William Cecil and Esther Watkins and J.C. Pruitt and Alphia Kemp. Flowers will be accepted or memorials can be made to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, 120 Wall Street, New York, NY 10005.

Funeral services for Jeff Watkins will be held Saturday, September 8, 2018, at 12:00 p.m. from the chapel of Green Hills Funeral Home with Reverend Greg Aman and Reverend Mike Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in the Green Hills Memorial Park. Visitation will also be Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Green Hills Funeral Home.

Survivors include his children, Buck Watkins, Owen Watkins, Patrick Watkins and Lola Bett Watkins, all of Atoka, Tennessee; father and stepmother, Paul and Beth Watkins of Troy; his siblings, Julie Watkins (John) Sproull of Ponte Vedre Beach, Florida; Johnston Watkins, Behrens Watkins and Beppy Watkins; and his nephews, Jack Sproull, Evan Sproull and Nolan Sproull.

Serving as pallbearers will be Scott Gardner, Bill Watkins, Eddie Jeffcoat, Todd Copeland, Chris Sasser and Brad Johnson. Honorary pallbearers will be Jason McLendon and Jeremiah Tucker.
