The 2018 Balloon release, held in conjunction with Troy University, is scheduled for Thursday, October 4 at Trojan Terrance and another fundraiser is planned for the fall.

“It’s all about being able to continue our mission of serving the healthcare needs of our community,” said Jean Laliberte, Foundation board member and Memorial chairman. “Foundation Board members believe that Campaign 2018 will be a tremendous success. There are other areas where you will see this campaign come to life, all designed to spotlight our culture of giving, expand donor volume and drive awareness of the Pike Medical Foundation.”

TRMC Executive Officer Ronnie Dean said cancer has no respect of persons.

“And, when diagnosed, our friends, our families and our neighbors need local facilities, programs and professionals who are eminently qualified to administer the latest cancer treatments here at home,” Dean said. “Funds raised through Campaign 2018 will make this possible.”

The addition of a Hematology/Oncology clinic in August 2017 and the planning of the soon to open chemotherapy infusion center were made possible by generous gifts to the Foundation.

“This is the first phase of more cancer treatment options here at home,” Dean said. “One doesn’t have to look far to identify with a family in our community who is battling cancer. We look forward to great results from the Pike Medical Foundation’s Campaign 2018. I am thrilled our community is joining the fight and truly believe someone’s life will be deeply touched through these gifts.”
