The Troy Police chief said officers believe an armed robbery and string of burglaries early Friday morning might be related.

Police responded to a report of a robbery at an off-campus residence in the 200 block of John M. Long Drive, formerly Collegedale, at approximately 2:30 a.m. Friday morning.

“According to the report, two black males entered the residence armed with handguns,” said Chief Randall Barr. “The unknown suspects went through the residence and took electronic items and the victim’s wallet. The suspects then left the residence on foot.”
