Between the hours of 10:15 p.m. Wednesday and 5 a.m. Thursday, the All American station at 109 North Main Street in Brundidge was burglarized.
Brundidge Police Chief Moses Davenport said, when arriving for work about 5 a.m. Thursday, a station employee noticed the door at the back of the building was ajar.
“The door locks from the inside and there is also a bar across the door on the inside,” Davenport said. “The door to the office inside the building had been jerked open. The safe had been opened and an unknown amount of money had been taken from the safe.”
Davenport said investigators for the Brundidge Police Department Charles Beasley and Christopher Brooks are working the burglary.
“The incident is under investigation and we are working on leads,” Davenport said. Anyone with information about the burglary is asked to call the Brundidge Police Station at 334-735-3333.
