Kenneth Brasfield Weil, age 67, a resident of Troy, AL died Friday, January 26, 2018 at Troy Health and Rehabilitation. Funeral services for Mr. Weil will be held Monday January 29, 2018 at 11:00am at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy with Dr. Malone Chandler officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hills Memorial Park. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 10 a.m. to 11 a.mm at the Funeral Home.

Mr. Weil was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin Jr. and Dean Weil. Mr. Weil is survived by his wife, Sheila Weil; sons, Gary Weil (Kelly), Simon Weil, Daniel Weil (Michelle), and Christopher Weil; sister, Deana Lee (Kevin); brothers, Mel Weil (Tina) and Mark Weil (Joan); grandchildren, Drew, Christian, Aiden, Sam, Lily, Anna and Lukas; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

Mr. Weil was a lifetime mentor and educator both in the school systems and in life. He proudly and faithfully served his country for over 30 years before he retired from the army as a Lieutenant Colonel. Mr. Weil was a member at First Baptist Church and an Eagle Scout.
