Auburn Troy Bank and Trust robbed

Auburn police are investigating the armed robbery of the Auburn/Opelika branch of Troy Bank and Trust Thursday afternoon.

The suspects entered the Auburn branch of the bank at approximately 2:10 p.m. armed with a gun and demanded money, leaving with an amount that has not yet been disclosed.

Marketing and Public Relations Officer Dianna Lee said that location will be closed until further notice.

“Other local branches will be open and will observe normal operating hours,” Lee said.

The suspects are described as black males wearing dark clothing.

Investigators say the suspects left the scene in a silver Mercedes.
