The Troy City Council has called a special meeting for Thursday, December 21 to address the issuance and sale of warrants totaling nearly $11 million.

City Clerk Alton Starling said the deadline for action on the issue is sooner than the council’s next regular meeting, necessitating the call of a special meeting.

The council took a similar action earlier this year and gained a total savings of $1.3 million over the life of $9.9 million in bonds.
