Troy Council calls special meeting
The Troy City Council has called a special meeting for Thursday, December 21 to address the issuance and sale of warrants totaling nearly $11 million.
City Clerk Alton Starling said the deadline for action on the issue is sooner than the council’s next regular meeting, necessitating the call of a special meeting.
The council took a similar action earlier this year and gained a total savings of $1.3 million over the life of $9.9 million in bonds.
The special meeting will be held today at 1:30 p.m. in the City Council Committee Room upstairs at Troy City Hall.
The next regularly scheduled meeting of the Troy City Council is Tuesday, December 26. The executive committee will meet upstairs at 3:30 p.m. and the council will meet at 5 p.m. in the City Council Chambers.
