J.D. Calhoun, age 76, of Banks, Alabama, died Tuesday, November 7, 2017, at his home. Funeral services will be held Friday, November 10, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Dillard Funeral Home in Troy with the Reverend Jerry Wilkes officiating. Interment will follow in Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery with Dillard Funeral Home of Troy directing. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy.

He is survived by his wife, Sarah Calhoun, of Banks; his son, Randy Calhoun, of Banks; granddaughter, Lindsay Sims Berry, of the Tennille community; great granddaughter, Kaylee Elizabeth Calhoun, of Clayton; brothers, Leo Calhoun (Barbara) of Troy and Sherrill Calhoun (Ruby), of Banks; sisters, Geraldine Edwards, of Troy, Bonnie Green (Andrew), of Troy, and Patsy Dubose of Banks; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family.

He was preceded in death by his grandson, Justin Calhoun.
