Elsie Jean Hester, age 85 of Troy died Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at her home. Elsie was born May 26, 1932 to the late Joseph Price and Annie Folmar Price.Elsie was also preceded in death by her husband, Emmett Hester , son, Gary D. Hester and several brothers and sisters.

Funeral services were held Friday, September 22, 2017 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Green Hills Funeral Home in Troy with Reverend Keith Price officiating. Burial followed in the Mossy Grove cemetery. Visitation was held one hour prior to the service at Green Hills Funeral Home.

Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Mike Stephens of Troy; daughter-in-law, Marcia Hester of Troy; grandchildren, Allen (Inga) Qualls, Carlee Motes, Kevin (Laurie Jo) Hester, Kayla (Jacob) Sander,s all of Troy; great grandchildren, Katie (Huey) Green, Lexie Motes, Sophie Motes, Kinsley Pinckard, River D. Sanders, Lawson D. Hester.

Serving as pallbearers will be Allen Qualls, Kevin Hester, Jerry Hester, Wayne Hester, Hamilton Stubbs and James Ed Hester.

The staff of Green Hills Funeral Home is honored to serve the Hester family.
