A Troy Man was arrested Wednesday after allegedly breaking into a residence and stealing a backpack.
Troy Police Chief Randall Barr said Devonta Wayaire Brown, 19, broke through the window of a residence in the 800 block of U.S. Highway 231 North Monday.
Brown was arrested later that day at his residence without incident, Barr said.
The book bag was recovered near the scene.
Brown was processed through the Troy City Jail and incarcerated in the Pike County Jail on a $2,500 bond.
