Robert Earl “Pale” Smith, age 76, a resident of Banks, AL, died Sunday, August 20, 2017 at Troy Regional Medical Center.  Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at 11:00 am from the chapel of Dillard Funeral Home in Troy with Dr. Malone Chandler officiating. Visitation will be held from 10-11am at Dillard Funeral Home.

Mr. Smith was raised in the Children’s Home in Troy and worked at as a barber for 52 years at Byrd’s and Raymond’s Barber Shop. He was an avid outdoorsman and served his country as a Vietnam Veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Nadine Smith; grandsons: Kaleb Barr, Josh Barr and Matthew Barr; sisters: Linda Whitaker (Charles) of Colquitt, GA, Alice Houston of Ozark and Pauline Huggins (Eddie) of Albany, GA and brother, Jerry Smith of Colquitt, GA.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ewell and Ruby Smith; sisters: Janie Johnson, Gloria Brown and Christine Wenk and brothers: Carlton Smith, Terry Smith and Larry Smith.
