The Troy Public Library now offers mobile printing services, allowing patrons to easily and securely print documents, emails and web content from any internet enabled smartphone, tablet, laptop or desktop to one of the TPL’s printers.

“Patrons may print from the library, their home, office, coffee shop, literally anywhere, and pay for their print job at the release station located on the second floor of the Troy Public Library,” said William White, TPL director. “Simply submit documents for printing using your personal computer or mobile device and come to the library to release and pick up your document.”

White said there are three ways to send documents to the TPL’s mobile print server.

“Anyone can upload a document, picture, website or other attachment to the website http://www.printeron.net/tpl/troy-public-library from his or her laptop or desktop computer,” White said. “You do not have to be a patron or have a library card.”

Users can also download and install the PrinterOn app, which is available for Apple and Android devices as a free app. That will allow them to send print jobs from their mobile device to the library’s print server, he said.

“Patrons and users may also choose to email something directly to the print server,” White said. “There is a different email address for the black and white or the color printer. Emails will send as one print job; attachments will be a different job.”

For black and white prints, the email address is tpl-troy-public-library-bw@printspots.com.

The email address for color prints is tpl-troy-public-library-color-@printspots.com.
