Inez Chapman Thompson, age 94, a resident of Noble Manor, relinquished her earthly trials after a brief illness while at Troy Regional Hospital. Although born in Tennessee, she spent most of her adult life in Troy, busy with the duties of wife, mother, and business owner.  She was the principal owner of Thompson Auto Parts in Troy and Brundidge after her husband, Asa predeceased her.  She was also predeceased by her son Acey (Sonny), and daughter Alicia (Aldridge), and her two sisters Lorene (Railey) and Thelma (Smallwood) and her parents Henry and Ocie (Shiver) Chapman.  She is survived by her brother Richard Chapman (Shirley) in Brundidge, two nieces and five nephews.  Mrs. Thompson had been a long time member of First Baptist Church, Troy.

Special thanks are offered to the staff of Noble Manor and to the staff at Julia’s Restaurant for the many kindnesses shown to her.  Also a great deal of gratitude is due her son in law, Garry Aldridge, for his assistance and diligence in making her twilight years as comfortable and stress-free as possible.

Funeral services for Inez Thompson will be held Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Green Hills Funeral Home with Reverend Wayne Locklar officiating. Burial will follow in the Green Hills Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at Green Hills Funeral Home.  The staff of Green Hills is honored to serve the Thompson family.
