Acie Carl Whittington, age 79, born in Brundidge, AL, and  a resident of Bartlett, TN, died Thursday, May 18, 2017, in Memphis, TN .He was a Veteran of the US Navy.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Whittington of Bartlett, TN; daughter, Brandie (Barry) Thompson of Arlington, TN; son, David (Nikki) Whittington of Colorado Springs, CO; step daughter, Mandy (Ian) Austin of Bartlett, TN; seven grandchildren, Violet Thompson, Reagan Austin, Emma Austin, Morgan Harris, Abby Austin, Sydney Cox, and Mady Austin; three brothers, Austin (Janice) Whittington of Atlanta, GA,, Max (Mary) Whittington of Brundidge, AL, and Larry (Charlotte) Whittington of Troy, AL.

He is preceded in death by his father, Carlton Whittington and mother, Ruby Flowers.

Services will be Saturday, June 24, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. at Bethlehem Baptist Church, 3118 County Road 3316, Brundidge, AL.
