The Downtown Market will be returning to the Square Saturday with the Pike County Farmer’s Market on hand to sale fresh produce and baked goods.

Leigh Anne Windham with the City of Troy said the City is excited to offer the market once again over the summer.

“The merchants are excited to have the market downtown again,” Windham said. “It will be a fun time for everybody.”

The plan is for the market to return on the first Saturday of each month throughout the season.

Windham noted that the summer market will feature  will feature only the Pike County Farmer’s Market in comparison to the fall market which opened for the first time last year. The fall market features more vendors including artisan crafts and confections.
