The Brundidge Police Department is investigating the fatal shooting of a man Friday at Walding Circle.

Brundidge Police Chief Moses Davenport said when the police arrived at Walding Circle, the gunshot victim– Xavier Hakeem Thomas, 22– had already been transported by private vehicle to Troy Regional Medical Center.

“The victim was pronounced dead at the hospital from multiple gunshot wounds, causing the victim to bleed to death,” Davenport said.

The police responded to the scene Friday night at approximately 11:00 p.m.

The names of witnesses and suspects are still actively under investigation, Davenport said.
